Daisy

Daisy moved into the sanctuary shortly after her previous caretakers reached out to us looking for help. For the past 2 years Daisy has been battling a reoccurring infection in her left foot, commonly called bumblefoot, and she had recently started to get picked on by others in the flock due to her limp and reduced mobility. Daisy's previous guardians had provided treatment & professional medical care all during that time, and after seeing her condition not getting better, they made the very difficult decision to seek placement where she will get the further help she needs.

 

Shortly after Daisy arrived she received medical care through our vet where we began antibiotics to treat the infection and swollen foot, which we have seen minor improvement on. Daisy is very new to us and she is still settling in, though she has already made fast friends and has claimed Harvey as her favorite friend! Monitoring Daisy closely and seeing her capabilities will guide us on how to help her best aligning comfort, safety, and happiness.
